Old Boston Firehouse to become art space: Torrent Engine 18 by Katherine Bergeron — Kickstarter

A couple of friends of mine are trying to kickstart a new artspace called Torrent Engine 18 to continue the tradition of Pan9, which fostered the growth of The Dresden Dolls and a thriving underground art/performance scene in Boston. Since Pan9 burned down a few years ago, there hasn’t been a central focal point for the scene.
Katherine Bergeron (a.k.a. Katrina Galore - you may have seen her in The Slutcracker and other burlesque performances in Boston), and E. Stephen Frederick (curator of The Empire S.N.A.F.U. Restoration Project - check the photos) have bought an old firehouse, and are putting a lot of love and sweat into this renovation project.
Chalkboard with 30 years accumulation of tape adhesive. Better than a Mark Rothko.
